The Schuylkill Rehabilitation Accessibility Committee is an organization actively involved in a continual process to remove architectural, attitudinal, communication, employment, financial, transportation and other barriers to persons with disabilities.

The accessibility committee at Schuylkill Rehabilitation Center serves as an organization to:

  • Promote the recruitment of qualified persons with disabilities and provide input regarding reasonable accommodations to promote equal opportunities for participation by persons with disabilities throughout all levels
  • Provide access or referral to social, legal, or economic advocacy
  • Comply with, and advocate, compliance with the Americans with Disability Act
  • Serve the community by conducting educational programs, promoting membership on the committee, and providing resources for compliance to ADA

The Schuylkill Rehabilitation Accessibility Committee can assist the community with:

  • Providing fact sheets on common accessibility barriers and resources for further contact
  • Onsite assessment of accessibility
  • Provide recommendations to minimize accessibility barriers
  • Maximize ADA compliance
